Applications of steam engine KROPAT and other VTES technologies

Within the project KROPAT there have been developed innovative steam engine and some other novel technologies of steam power stations. On that basis the home power unit VTES-1 has been developed and a whole range of more powerful stations are being planned. But steam engine could drive not power stations only, but other various technical appliances that need in external engine to be driven. On this page it will be explained where in modern technics the steam engine could be applied having in mind the main advantage - ability to work on solid bio-fuel.

The team of the project KROPAT offer cooperation in developing any of appliances presented below and adapting for its any-fuel steam engine and other VTES technologies.

Home power stations

One of the main problems of the power industry is to develop the home power station which would be able to work all the time, independent from weather, season of year and day/night time. Such station should provide the house entirely with electricity and heating, and should not emit greenhouse gases (not consume "carbon" fuel). Solving that problem could open the way to real micro-generation model of local power nets, when the power consumers became the netto-generators and the whole regional power industries might be much more sustainable and ecological than now.

Any-fuel CHP VTES "KROPAT"

The first in th world (any-fuel) home power station VTES:
- provides private houses with "green" electricity and heating
- runs on any biofuel (including solid ones: wood, pellets etc.)
- is powered by the innovative steam engine
